What are Invoices?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

You are currently viewing the documentation for our legacy Invoicing service.

Explore NextInvoice, our enhanced accounts receivable service designed to optimize your billing process with additional features.

Invoicing Features are currently only available to Pro and Pro Plus subscribers.

NextPay's Invoices provide you with a seamless way to create and monitor invoices while allowing you to mark the invoice as paid. You also have the option to:

  • Add billing details and attach supporting documents within the invoice itself;

  • Enable automated payment reminders so that you can spend less time following up on payments; and

  • Download a PDF version of your invoices.

When do I use Invoices?

Invoices are best used for:

  • When you need to bill someone for a specific engagement or order

  • When you don’t want to have to manually follow up on payments

Some use cases include:

  • One-time rental payments

  • Project billing

Can I use NextPay Invoices to receive payments?

To receive payments, we recommend using our new and improved NextInvoice service.

The invoicing feature you are currently viewing is our legacy version, which is now used for tracking receivables and managing cash flow. Direct payment acceptance on this legacy tool was discontinued as of January 15, 2024, to allow us to focus on new products and services that will better meet the evolving needs of our customers.

For a better experience and to actively collect payments from your customers, switch to our NextInvoice service.
