How do I fund my NextPay account?

In order to send money to your recipients, you'll need to add some funds to your account.

There are two ways to do this:

  • Collecting customer payments
  • Creating a deposit

The processing period for deposits varies depending on the payment method being used.

Let’s define some terms:

  • Banking day: Monday to Friday except for legal holidays
  • Calendar day: Monday to Sunday including legal holidays

What are the deposit options accepted?

  • Cash/checks (over-the-counter at UnionBank branches)
  • Digital Transfers (InstaPay, PESONet, Bank)
    • Digital Transfers from local banks and eWallets (InstaPay, PESONet)
    • Digital Transfers (UnionBank to UnionBank)
  • International Wire Transfer (via non-PH bank)
  • Remittance (e.g Transferwise, Remitly)
  • Others

For this article, we’ll focus on how to deposit into your account.

  1. On your left side panel, navigate to Deposits
  2. Take note of the deposit instructions (Note: You don’t need a UnionBank account to deposit to NextPay. You can make a deposit from any bank or eWallet)

  • For international/overseas wire transfers, you can check the SWIFT/BIC code by clicking on See more deposit details
  1. To log your deposit details, click New Deposit
  2. Input your deposit method, the date and amount of your deposit, and your deposit reference number
  3. Upload a clear photo of your deposit receipt, then click Submit for review

When will my deposit be credited to my NextPay account?

Deposit times may vary depending on the method used.

  • Cash and online deposits made via InstaPay and UB-to-UB transfers are typically approved within the day
  • Checks, PESONet transfers, and international wire transfers may take 1-3 banking days depending on their respective clearing times

Just a reminder: Be sure to log your deposit immediately and accurately so our team can review your payment as quickly as possible.
